Kale Wayman, my brother-in-law. The only guy who can stand my sister's beatings better than me, and I took my share of beatings to do so. Kale and my sister, Steph, have been married for a couple years now and until very recently have been living in Omaha Nebraska, a place so boring it makes Oklahoma seem exciting, oh and cold did I mention cold because I hear its cold there. If anyone is wondering why would anyone consciously move to Omaha on purpose relax there is a good reason. Not more than a month ago Kale graduated from Creighton University with his MD. Yes another doctor up at the front with me, wow its really starting to look like I just picked groomsmen who could resuscitate me if I tank halfway through the vows. Anyway, back to the topic, my sister also got some Doctorate of Physical Therapy or something, I'll let Kristina tell you more about her and her deeds of glory. We're talking about Kale, Steph stop butting in, geez, sorry about that folks.
Kale and Steph have no kids, but I know they would really appreciate you asking them when they are planning are starting that when you see them at the wedding :) Really, please don't ask them anything or I am certain to get clobbered, I may be almost a foot taller than her, but one of life's little lessons is don't piss off a volleyball player if you don't want your head spiked, ouch! Steph you did it again, but out.
Kale and Steph recently moved to Denver, Colorado, a stone's throw away from where Kale grew up in Longmont Colorado (that is if you can trow a stone about an hours drive). They will be residing there for a year beginning his residency, and then moving to Loma Linda in southern California to complete his residency. His medical specialty of choice is anaesthesiology, which if you've never tried is very difficult to spell.
If I remember correctly, the first time Kale and I met was at our cabin in Utah, where we me him and Steph on their way down from Fort Collins Colorado, where they went to undergraduate school. The only thing I remember well was that my sister was driving down those crazy windy roads and it was concerning us both, and I could not for the life of me figure out why he was not chiming in to insult my sister's driving skills, go figure. Since then, we have spent some good times together, being the only brother I've ever gotten to have. I was a groomsman at his wedding along with his three brothers, Kieth, Kevin, and Kris (see a pattern here?). I was also fortunate to have spent two vacations in Hawaii with him (and the whole family of course), and let me tell you that was bonanza! (Inside joke just for him, only about four people on the planet will get it, so don't ask because I certainly won't tell).
I could not ask for a better brother, and I don't get to, so it works out nicely that way. Another fellow outdoors man, with an intellect worth duelling (as good as they give doctors these days), and spends more time than I do playing video games (if that's even possible).
This concludes my list of groomsmen, if you have only read one so far, you started on the wrong end. Hopefully this will give any of you out there in TV land a little insight into the guys I have chosen to stand next to me as I take the plunge, and the guys who have been there for me throughout this courtship. I hope to find some pictures to post of all these guys, but if I can't find any you should be able to recognize them at the wedding, they will be the guys wearing tuxedos, standing up front.
