On With The Groomsmen - What's Up Doc?

Next up in the line to catch me if I pass out in the ceremony is my good friend Rob Karl. Many of you know him as Dr. Rob, though you should probably know him as Dr. Karl (to be politically correct). Rob is a doctor who owns his own family practice, which coincidentally is where Kristina works.
Rob and I also met at the Crossing. Rob was one of the worship leaders, and my favorite one to play behind (Sorry Darla). Some of my favorite times playing at the Crossing was with "Rob's Band" including Ben Parker (who you will be hearing about shortly) on drums, Jason Deese on electric guitar, and Stephanie Walker singing, and me on bass (if you didn't know).
Rob is married to Nicole, also one of Kristina's brides maids (it's redundant to mention that she among Kristina's closest friends if I say that she is a brides maid, right?). Rob and Nicole have a pair of sleep deprivers as well, Jack and Olivia. Kristina and I have babysat these two kiddies a couple times and I can think of few things cuter than Jack standing in front of the TV playing air guitar trying to mimic daddy, especially when he grabs his imaginary pick from his mouth as Rob is prone to do.
Rob and I share a love for intellectual debate. Rob is one of the few people I know who I can use words like loquacious around without an explanation. Rob and I also love to debate theological topics, one of my favorite religious activities. And the best thing about our debates is that no matter how "heated" or deep our topics get we both know that it is all in good fun, especially since most of the time one of us takes a position we don't even believe in just to play devil's advocate and make the conversation interesting.
Rob, Nicole, Kristina and I also meet every (almost) Tuesday in our small group with the Herrold's, Ancheta's, Kramer, and formerly the Parker's before they moved to Oklahoma (where the wind comes sweeping down the plains). Sorry about that, how embarrassing. This small group is often the theatre for these infamous debates, and who better to include in a debate that Kramer, the man who can retain more bizarre yet interesting facts than anyone on the planet.
Rob is the only groomsman who has stuck it out in Las Vegas with me and I am very grateful to have a fellow intellectual so close to home to debate me on a moments notice. It is so rare to find a friend who shares my love of intellect as well as my love for music.
